Truly timeless timepiece

At last someone has designed something genuinely useful. Big props to Martin 'pretentious - moi?' Margiela for coming up with a sleek, minimal watch for people who have no interest in knowing what time of day it is. This beauty (an absolute bargain at a mere £150) is just perfect for hopeless gamblers whiling away days and nights in the dimly-lit casino (where there are never any clocks). Keep betting away the family jewels with this pared-down watch complete with no face. Just leave when you've sold the (leather) jacket off your back.

Belts handmade in Brixton

I came across these unusual belts made from bike tyres the other day. I think they're a great idea if a little Swampy.

Peter Jensen scarf-gloves

Bored of losing your gloves all the time? Here's the answer from Peter Jensen; gloves that are an extension of your scarf. Just don't lose your scarf.

iPhone for Orange

At last I'll be able to talk for hours about the latest sexy app. I'm coming in from tech Siberia peeps. It's been hard - so many hours staring into my pint as my friends exchange scintillating iPhone war stories. The Economist ad is right: "What's the the loneliest place in the world? The edge of a conversation."

Underrated cuteness: Squid

I actually had no idea squids were so cute until I checked out this. That said, I'm still a big fan of the way Montenegrins stuff Calamari with ham and cheese.

Gordon Brown; the new Eminem?

Could it be true that our dour PM is a prescription pills junky. Is he popping Vicodin at the ballot box? Andrew Marr wants to know

I'm a total sucker for anything resembling waffle. Be it duvet covers or waffles themselves. Therefore I love these moss gloves. Perfect for nighttime fireworks in Ravenscourt Park or somesuch wintry pursuit

Roger Federer; unbelievable winner

Although not a huge fan of a) tennis b) Federer, this is one of the most incredible pieces of sporting brilliance I've ever seen. Right up there with Trevor Sinclair's bicycle kick and Dennis Bergkamp's outrageous turn.

Prince Harry signs for QPR

Ben Watson is another excellent addition to the QPR squad. The Rs midfield now boasts Watson, Martin Rowlands, Akos Buzsaky, Adel Taraabt, Wayne Routledge and £3.5m man Alejandro Faurlin - surely the best in the championship. It's a pity we a) have a halfwit gaffer b) desperately need a striker to play alongside Jay Simpson. Still reckon we could make the playoffs.

Thrilling end to Saudi Arabia v Bahrain World Cup qualifier

Check out this frenetic ending to the Saudi Arabia v Bahrain game. Saudi score in the 91st minute setting up a do-or-die game v New Zealand to book their place in the World Cup. But there's still time to play. Check what happens. The 'excitable' commentary is also amazing

Yet another reason to dislike John Terry

Nice to see Chelsea skipper JT setting a good example again. Twat

Midnight screenings of "The Room" hit London

Can't wait to see this perfectly awful masterpiece of a movie I flagged up the trailer on my blog a a few months back.

Narcoleptic Timmy goes bowling

This bowling clip spreading like wildfire this morning. I particularly like it when the ball rolls out of his hand.

African Grey

This parrot is cleverer than quite a few people I know.

Utrecht Underground

Trust the Dutch to dream up this brilliant idea. For just €5 you can get a guided tour of the city's skid row from local tramps
